What do a Scandinavian rodent stuck in a pipe under a French kitchen sink, a woman in crisis because of her husband's infidelity with paid companions and the inventor of a flying web cam have in common? If you are called Dominik Moll ( Harry, he is here to help ) or Gilles Marchand (Kings and Queens ), they are some of the basic ingredients of a screenplay that makes perfect sense. The film was written by both of them (and directed by Moll) with a flair that makes any illogicality or absurdity in this set-up seem perfectly natural.
The woman in crisis is Alice Pollock, and her cheating husband Richard is the CEO of an electronics company. We meet them when they arrive terribly late at a dinner party organized by Alain, the inventor of the web cam and his young wife Bénédicte. Alain has just started to work for Richard's company and he of course hopes that the flying web cam and a nice dinner for four will help his career take off properly.
What should have been a nice evening of eating and chatter in a suburban home, turns into a night of sheer horror when something gets stuck in the pipe under the sink…
