Etha Dam, a urban dance group from France, has managed to overturn the stereotypes of hip hop with their original and dynamic style, combining street dance with theatre dance techniques, influenced by capoeira and African dance.

The company Etha Dam was created by Ibrahim Sissoko in 1998 from the common wish of talented and experienced dancers who share an open-minded spirit as well as same appreciation of dance art: a same état d'âme (frame of mind in French).
The identity of the company is based on its creative spirit and a dance that impresses by its precision, sensibility and energy.

The company has performed on international stages in countries such as France, Belgium, Switzerland, England, Finland, Sweden, Columbia, Equator, Haiti, Venezuela…
The show Aduna deals with the discovery of an unknown land by 7 adventurers. By a metaphoric evocation of the themes of revelation and sacred, the company offers to the audience a journey to the frontiers between reality and imagination, a dance composed of signs, creating a symphony of words of stones and sand. The word ‘aduna' in Wolof African language is a concept gathering the notions of world and destiny.

The show ADUNA deals with the discovery of an unknown land by 7 adventurers. Aduna is a very powerful and colorful work, with nearly poetic lighting. Music composed by Sissoko plays an essential part in the work. It accentuates and supports the extremely physical and expressive movement of the dancers. The atmosphere of Aduna is impetuously intensive. It provides a breath of mysticism from distant lands to the festival.

The word ‘aduna' comes from wolof African language, it's a concept gathering the notions of world and destiny.

• Choreographer Ibrahima Sissoko received his training from the Academy
  of Dance in Paris. A mainstay of the Chorea Company, he has forged his career on the stage as well as in the cinema, on television and in fashion shows. He brings to the Etha Dam Company a great breadth of experience garnered from collaboration on multiple choreographic projects and from his teaching of stage movement and Hip-Hop dance techniques.

• The Etha Dam Company brings together seasoned dancers who share a common vision of dance, one that embodies concepts of sharing, interaction and humility. For nearly ten years, they have worked at the Company's core holding a vision that successfully infuses their on-stage modes of expression with techniques characteristic of various urban dance styles: the ‘new Style', house, Boogaloo and break Dance, all of which they have taught in workshops for a number of years.

• 曾在巴黎舞蹈學院接受舞蹈訓練的編舞家 Ibrahima Sissoko 是 Chorea 舞蹈團的台柱， 他的舞蹈生涯除了舞台上的演出外，也包括為電影、電視及時裝表演擔任編舞。他將自己多年來與其他團體合作的多個編舞計劃，以及教授舞台動作及 hip hop 舞技巧所纍積 的豐富經驗 帶給了 Etha Dam 舞蹈團 。

• Etha Dam 舞蹈團的成員全都是資深的舞者 ， 並且對舞蹈有著相同的看法 ，就是透過舞蹈將分享、互動和謙卑這些概念具體化。近十年來，他們抱著同樣的目標為舞蹈團打穩基礎，並成功 將街頭舞和舞台技巧結合 ， 創出一些舞蹈新風格 ，而過去數年間，他們更開辦工作坊教授這些新技巧。
